Heaps of gold

Perhaps, there is nothing that would improve your spirits on a dull, gloomy day than an unexpected bright photo opportunity presenting itself.

On my way back from a recent road trip I chanced upon this family of farmers(cheerfully busy, I must add) who cultivated corn. They had earlier spread the cobs out to dry but as the skies got cloudier they thought it wise to gather the corn into heaps and cover them.

The golden cobs spread in such great numbers provided a striking contrast to the dull uninspired feel that prevails in this “it could rain any moment” kind of weather.
