At another thaanda we drove past we ran into a group of well dressed Lambadi ladies all waiting to be whisked away in an auto to some political meeting. I wonder if the politicians would do something tangible to benefit these Lambadi women and their families, and not remember them just to fill their ballots.
If I didn’t click them, I was sure I’d miss an opportunity, but they were in a hurry. So I promised them I’d be back another time for a more leisurely shoot, and in return they had to promise to dress up just as nice if not better!
